Terms

The rules RotateAd actually operates by: what a seat is, what the two products cost, and what happens when something is moderated. Written to be read, not to look lawyerly.

What RotateAd is

RotateAd is a public index where claimed websites receive permanent seat numbers. Every claimed website gets a seat number — assigned once, by order of arrival, and never changed, never recycled, never resold. That permanence is the product.

Two separate products hang off the index, and they are billed separately: the permanent seat, and the optional Banner Network.

The permanent seat

A seat costs $2.00, paid once. It buys a permanent seat number, a public seat page that never expires, a permanent row on the Board, a turn on the Stage shared fairly, and an append-only receipt page. It does not expire and does not renew.

Seat sales are final. Once a seat is claimed, the payment is non-refundable — this is a permanent digital listing, not a physical product.

Ownership is not the same as publication

Owning a seat is permanent. What is publicly presented at that seat — the listing, and separately any banner — can be moderated under the Acceptable Use Policy.

Permanent ownership of a seat does not create an unlimited right to publish whatever the owner chooses. A moderated listing keeps its number, its domain on file, its owner and its history; only its public presentation changes. Moderation can hide a listing, block its destination, suspend a banner, or permanently ban a banner from the network. None of those actions deletes a seat, recycles a seat number, reassigns ownership, or destroys ownership history.

The Banner Network

The Banner Network is an optional membership: $9.99 per month. While it is active, your verified banner is eligible for fair rotation across participating members' sites, and you display theirs alongside yours. It is reciprocal visibility — not purchased traffic, and not billed by the click, the view or the visit.

You can cancel at any time. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access through the period you already paid for, and then the banner stops being eligible for rotation. You can resubscribe later on the same seat, with no new seat fee.

Banner Network fees are not refunded. A suspended or banned membership is cancelled at the end of the paid period — the period already paid for is not refunded.

Whatever happens to a Banner Network membership, the permanent seat is untouched: the number, the receipt, the Board presence and the Stage rotation all stay exactly as they are.

What a seat is not

A seat is a listing, not an investment — it cannot be resold and carries no promised return. No exposure, ranking, traffic or revenue is promised. Seat numbers move forward only; the next seat is always the last one available.

Moderation and appeals

The prohibited content, the four moderation actions, how decisions are made and how to appeal them are all set out in the Acceptable Use Policy. That policy is the rulebook for what may be published at a seat; it also records what moderation can never take away.

How these pages work

These pages describe how RotateAd operates today, in plain language. They are not legal advice, and they create no legal guarantee beyond what applicable law already requires.
